they do make mesh bumpers for those that want a tiny bit of cushion. the mesh makes them breathable. i don’t think we’ll be going the bumper or mesh route.

I don’t really think the bumpers are necessary. But my little brother would move himself up under the bumpers. Needless to say, they didnt last long.

i used them without any problem… when my daughter was 6 month i took them out…

I’ve been using my bumper for 6 months and at first yeah I was really worried but I got over it. Babies are smart if they can’t breath they move. My daughter was sleeping in our bed up until she was 4 months in between us on a pillow (they say don’t do that but let me tell you…with breast feeding and little amounts of sleep) that was the only way she would sleep at night and for us to sleep…then in decemeber she just stopped wanting to sleep in our bed 🙁 I was upset but she’s in her crib and loving it now. She could careless about her bumper. I know when she sits up or starts to stand up I will hafta remove it .
