is it easy to use? I am not very…….creative.. with hands on things.. they always end up looking untidy. and I hate that. These look amazing!

I LOVE my Cricut! I also have Sure Cuts A Lot on my laptop so I’m not limited to the cartridges, I use it in conjunction with Illustrator. I made banners for our wedding too ๐Ÿ™‚

If you’re going to buy a personal cutting machine, I wouldn’t buy a Cricut. Cricut recently sued companies like “Sure Cuts A Lot” and “Make The Cut”, forcing them to discontinue compatibility with their products. They don’t want their cutting machines compatible with 3rd party software so they can make you rely on their expensive cartridges. They do have Cricut CraftRoom now, but it’s full of glitches and you still can’t upload your personally designed cutting files.

I wish someone told me this before I spent money on a Cricut. Now I have this lovely cutting machine that doesn’t cut the images that I’d like it to. I wish I spent the extra money and bought a Silhouette.

@u_c2moore: My sister wanted to buy a Cricut and that’s when we found out about that law suit ๐Ÿ™ Man am I glad I got mine and SCAL before all that happened! What a mess! SCAL works with the Silhouette, and Silhouette has their own program too, so I think that’s what she’s going to purchase instead. I like that you can print with the Silhouette, that’s definitely something missing from the Cricut (I know the new Cricut does, but you can’t use SCAL with it)!
