Darling Husband is buying me a cricut for Christmas. He’ll buy whichever one I tell him I want but I’m not sure which way to go. It’s a toss up between the Pink Expression and the Expression 2. There’s less than a $100 difference between the two so it really comes down to which one is better. I like that the pink expression doesn’t require the use of a computer (and well, that it’s pink) but it seems like the Expression 2 is a crowd pleaser. If you have either of these or have used them before, I’d love some feedback.

Bumpin’ for the night crowd.
Darling Husband wants to order it tonight and I still haven’t made a decision. If I don’t get any feedback I’m going to have to resort to eenie meenie miney mo.

Go for the pink expression and see if you can somehow get a hold of Sure Cuts A Lot (they’re not selling it right now, but I’m wondering if you could find a cracked copy somewhere). As far as I know SCAL won’t work with the new expression and those cartridges cost a fortune!!

Sorry I’m no help, but I just really wanted to ask, what is it?? It looks so awesome! And I am of course gravitating towards the pink. Even though I have no idea what it is.

Are you dead set on a Cricut? I have to say, I am a 100% Silhouette convert. You can cut anything with it and even design your own shapes.

@Ms.Pink: It cuts paper, cork, fabric, just about anything you can jam in there, lol! There are cartridges that go with the machine that have fonts and shapes preloaded on them (for instance, all the shapes and fonts for a Christmas card or birthday banner), or there’s a particular software you used to be able to purchase to design your own items to cut out that was similar to Illustrator. It’s amazing! I love mine!
@unicycle: I’ve heard great things about the Silhouette too!
I found this comparison chart a while ago, maybe it’ll help you:
