I feel your pain.

One of the glass doors at the entrance of our venue got broken a few weeks before our wedding and our venue didn’t tell us. It wasn’t fixed in time for our wedding and although it was draped with fabric to hide it I was upset by it, But you know what? Nobody really even noticed. It definitely sucks but it will be okay. Your fiance had a good idea about maybe disgusing it with decor 🙂

Oh no! I would have had a bit of a meltdown too. But don’t worry! It’s all going to work out and no one will be any the wiser. Your day will be perfect! Just be happy you still have some time to plan around it :)!

It is really poor form for them not to let you know about the refurbishment. If they can’t get it fixed then personally I’d be pushing for a discount. Why would they expect you to pay the same as other brides if you can’t use the full space?

That being said, I’m sure the venue will still be lovely and it will be easy enough to work around it. Just…sheesh.

i’d ask for a discount explaining that you paid for the whole space free of construction and now you’re getting 8/10s of the space with construction. hopefully they’ll give you some $ back (which you can put towards disguising it) or they’ll throw in some freebies!

can’t hurt to ask – the worst they can say is no!
