Critique my makeup? I’m DIYing for an outdoor afternoon May wedding. I want a pretty and fresh look.
I think the dark crease might have to go… it feels like a little much for day? Or maybe just make it lighter? (For the record, I was fudging around with the shape of the crease shadow and am not totally happy with it in these pics, but you get the idea.)
I do like the cut crease look. And I’m obsessed with this pink / rose gold glitter lid, so that has to stay! Haha. I might make it a touch more pink yet.
I will probably add false eyelashes (a natural looking set).
Thoughts on the lip color?… Should it be more pink?
I wear liquid eyeliner pretty much daily, so it is typical uniform for me.
Lighting is my bright bathroom light and dim bedroom light. Outdoor pics would probably be the most helpful, oops!

I love everything about it! You look beautiful and the lip color is perfect! A darker color would be too much with the way your eyes are done. Really, really great job!
eta: I love seeing someone doing their own makeup. So many times I see MUA jobs that are done with a heavy hand and the bride doesn’t really look like herself.

It’s similar to what I did my wedding day so obviously I love it! Lol

Beautiful, I’d just add some more setting/mattifying powder to the t-zone, nose is a bit shiny. Great job though

Impressive! You look beautiful bee!

So so gorgeous. Fresh and sparkly and lovely.

Fresh and so lovely! I’d add lashes and possibly something just a *touch more intense on the lip (same tone) for photo purposes. A bit of mattifying powder on the nose and you’re good to go.

You are amazing with makeup! I love your look. I, too, would go slightly more intense on the lip, but that is personal preference. You look fantastic!

Sorry, all I can see is the nose ring. Without it, I think you’d look beautiful!
Also, I can see where you went outside of your bottom lip with lipstick. I know this is a common trick to make the lips look fuller, but I think it would look better if you followed your natural lip line.

I’d go lighter on the crease, add a touch more blush, and use something for the shine. Overall, you look good!

It looks gorgeous. I would just add a bit more blush.

I’m in love with the rose gold cut-crease! If you want to make it look “fresh” maybe use lighter colors on the outer crease but otherwise it looks perfect!

Thank you so much!
cypresstree85 : Didn’t ask for opinions on my jewelry, thanks anyway. The lip stick issue wasn’t on purpose, just me screwing around in my bathroom. I don’t think I went over as much as you might think? My bottom lip is slightly fuller than my top. But regardless, will definitely be precise on the day!
mrsaime : motogal : lifeisbeeutiful : Thanks for pointing out the nose shine… I put highlighter on my nose and appreciate the reminder that this is a trend and not a classic look! Haha. Will keep it elsewhere, as I do like it, but will just nix the nose.
On looking again, I agree with a touch more blush on the apples, so thanks . And I’m going to play around with more of a mauve crease to tone it down just a bit. I also agree on the tiniest bit more color to the lip, but I am STRUGGLING to find the right lip color for some reason. Oh well, will keep looking around!

soonzak : so beautiful, bee! And for what it’s worth – I didn’t even notice your nose ring. I read the responses and had to scroll back up to see. Just a bit of perspective that it isn’t distracting to everyone and truthfully I think it suits you very well. Anywoo – the way you did your makeup is wonderful 🙂
