We are having a reception for around 90 people at a local restaurant following a private ceremony. The reception would start at 3pm and we anticipate doing our sparkler send off around 5:45 or 6. So not overlapping mealtimes. I’m going for a late Sunday brunch buffet feel. Everything will be very low-key. Is this enough food, enough variety, and would you be able to find something you’d like? And yes, we are in the South, if you can’t tell from the food.
Fruit, cheese, and cracker display
Tempura fried okra
Duck confit spring rolls
Fried artichoke hearts with horseradish sauce
Country ham strata
Tarragon chicken salad on ciabatta
Chicken & sausage jambalaya pasta
Grits bar with assorted toppings
Wedding cake (red velvet)
Beer, wine, coffee, tea, water

Critique: you are not feeding this food to my face right this very moment 🙂

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Maybe some tossed greens to balance all the rich food?

There is nothing I would eat except the crackers and cheese but I am kinda picky and it sounds to elegant for my taste. I am more of a finger food girl!

good thought, made a note to ask if we can add that!
yeah, I’m picky too so I won’t eat some of it. I tried the okra though and actually liked it! Everybody down here eats grits, and the strata is just eggs, bread, and cheese. Honestly though I could eat a plate of their cornbread and be happy. It’s so delicious!

It sounds delicious. The only change I would make is to have at least one veggie that is not fried, southern or not.

I AM super picky and this still sounds amazing. I’m not a big fan of grits, personally, but I would eat everything else!

My only critique (because I’ve never had any of what you are offering) is to make sure none if your tests have allergies, as this menu doesn’t allow for Koh flexibility. As a coeliac I don’t think I could eat any of that. Anyway, that’s my only advice 🙂

Woah, I have no idea what any of that is! Bar crackers and cheese and red velvet cake. Lol it sounds like you have enough of a variety to please everyone.
