Can you guys tell me if you like these save the dates? I am pairing them with yellow envelopes from Paper Source, I think. Our wedding colors are gray and yellow>
i was inspired by the WeddingChicks free monogram I downloaded… Love it! I’m planning on incorporating the monogram throughout our wedding. “love love love” is a little inside saying between me and jeff
Anyway, I just can’t figure out what I don’t like about it… the fonts or sizing or something?
The yellow is much brighter than what it shows here… not sure why it opened that way.

I really like it. The only thing I can think of that might help would be to have less types of font… correct me if I’m wrong but I think there are 4 different ones and so if you had maybe just 2 or 3 it might look more cohesive? Just a suggestion 🙂
I think they are super cute though!

I really like it! Invitations usually alternate between print and script so that may be why it looks like it’s missing something. Also, you might want to add your wedding website if you have one!

@summerbride12: I have to agree. They’re cute, but way too many fonts being used. Of course, I also took classes on graphic design and was lectured about that in the classes and also back when I was in high school in journalism class, lol.
they ARE cute, though!!!!

Thanks! It actually is just two, but with the second font, I capitalized it sometimes which does make it look like a completely different font now that you mention it… definitely something to fix!

My only critique is that the fonts for “save the date” and “August 28, 2011” are a little too close to each other, without being exactly the same. I would change the date to either the same font as “save the date” or to the same font as “Hermann MO” (if you do it not all-caps, it will still look distinct).

These are so cute! I love them! The only thing I would change is make your wedding date font the same font type as the typewriter style text of save the date and the heart. Just so it is more cohesive, because as is it seems like the date font doesn’t really fit because there is no other text in that style. Regardless, it’s really cute!

Thanks for linking the free monogram. How did you change the wording on it though?

@Shiner: I used Photoshop to erase the words and then I put my words in. The font I used for that is American Typewriter, which I’m guessing is the font they used for the monogram. I just looked on dafont.com until I found it.
Thanks for all the feedback!!

Can you make the date the same font as the save the date?
