- Wedding: March 2012
I am including a list of FAQs for our guests on our website. Below, I have included the ones that cover the “touchy” subjects. I want the answers to be light but firm. However, I don’t want to come across as nasty. Please offer any comments to help me achieve that. Thanks!
Are kids invited?
The invitation envelope includes the name(s) of whom is invited. The only children we have invited are our siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Washington, DC is very family friendly. If you plan to bring your children to visit and need a local babysitter while you will be at the wedding, you can try http://www.XXX.com, http://www.xXX.com, or http://www.XXX.com. Also, if you are staying at XXX, you can call the hotel (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and the concierge will be happy to help you find a local babysitter.
Why isn’t so and so invited? Can I bring an extra guest?
2011 was an amazing year for us. We started it off by getting engaged and ended it with buying our first home! Unfortunately, the abundance of blessings in 2011 did not include winning the lottery. :0) While we would have loved to invite everyone we know, we’ve had to make some very difficult decisions regarding the guest list. These decisions were not made lightly and we hope that you understand. To that end, we cannot accommodate any extra guests. The name of whom is invited appears on your invitation envelope. We consider you our most cherished loved ones and hope that you feel as honored to be invited as we feel to have you present in our lives and on our wedding day.
