My unusual wedding dress just arrived this week! It was hand made in Peru and I intend to wear it on a small and intimate ceremony at the countryside of England. I decided to post a picture of it to see if any of you could help me with ideas of how to accessorize it. Being made of crochet makes things a little bit hard to me. I am not sure if I could wear a veil or if it would be better to have some flowers on my hair, if I should choose to lovely satin clutch ( my dream is to have a bottega venetta one) or a small bouquet of flowers. I’m also thinking about the unpredictable English weather so maybe I should have a long silk or cashmere cardigan to wear over it if it gets cooler?
So many ideas! I hope you can help me with your suggestions.
Thank you so much

This is a gorgeous dress. I love it. Personally, I think flowers or a single flower in your hair would look lovely.
As for when it gets cool, what about a pashmina?

That is a gorgeous dress! I agree that a flower would look great in your hair.

I second stephinPA.. flowers in the hair would be an excellent touch. You could keep them white or spice it up with one, bold colored flower.
I also like the idea of a long, silk cardigan to wear (in the same color) if it gets chilly. What shoes will you be wearing??

Wow! That dress is absolutely beautiful! With a dress like this, I think that the more simple the better due to the fact that the dress says a lot just on its own. A flower or two in the hair would be very classy. Also, if you are wearing your hair up, an elegant pair of earrings would be a great touch. Be careful when picking out shoes though. With the length of the dress, certain shoes may cause your feet look bulky if you don’t have the right ones. The ones in the picture look perfect! You are going to look amazing!

What an awesome dress! Some kind of pearl jewelry might be nice. I think you shouldn’t wear a necklace because it will detract from the pretty neckline. Have you thought about shoes? I think your shoes could set the tone for all the other accessories. I don’t think you need a veil. There are some cool hair facinator on etsy.com. You could also buy some vintage hand crochet doilies at an antique store. Then maybe use those to make a purse and/or something for your hair.
Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you ladies! I plan to wear very delicate sandals, ivory or gold. 🙂
