I can’t tell. Do you have a better picture?

Hmm, it does look like the gap is a bit bigger on the top. You’re not crazy! I would be the same. Yes, talk to your jeweler asap and they should remedy the problem for you as this should not be an issue as you just got your ring. Also, congratulations on your engagement. Maybe talk to your Fiance in case you need to knows more info about the ring. Let us know what happens!

It’s so hard to tell since the proportions on the photo seem to be distorted. If you’re able to fix the image, I’m sure you’ll get lots more useful feedback!

I see it. That’s poor craftsmanship to have that  uneven gap and lose a stone already. Sorry bee.

i would change it to other style if its still under return/exchange warranty. I have one radiant cut halo ring just like yours. My problem was side diamonds are shared prongs. i lost stone almost every month and replaced the tiny diamonds here and there more than 3 times. Its not funny at all that i have to starr at my ring looking for a hole in the setting so it ended up sitting in jewelry box because mine was late for return/ exchange warranty.

The picture is kind of stretched out. But like MrsBuesleBee said, their shouldn’t be a gap like that, unless it’s an airline style halo, and this one is not. So sorry this is happening! You guys definitly need to try to get your money back instead of just having the missing diamond replaced. Chances are it will continue to happen. I don’t know what your budget is or where he got the ring, but I’m sure you could find something of better craftsmanship for your money. Congrats on your engagement!

linastacy:  this isn’t about feelings (or hurting your FH’s feelings) it’a about the investment that he put into buying your e-ring.  Time is the essence; and he needs to be told now.  The original jeweler needs to be told and correct the problem or exchange it all together.

And you shouldn’t have to be worry about wearing your ring & losing any diamonds.  It’s a beautiful ring and it’s your forever ring.  Tell your FH the problem and have him handle it.  good luck

linastacy:  So sorry you must part with your ring, as someone who has also had to do that in the past, I”ll share my experience: sucked the whole time while gone, but the moment it gets back on your finger, it’s almost like it never left and those weeks of it gone just sort of vanish from memory. 🙂 I’m glad it’s getting fixed, you will feel so much better what that done!

linastacy:  Oh, the ring was sent with a stone that had a chip in it from being set (a tool mark from a tool used to do the bezel). Came back just fine. 🙂
