I was right – he was calling my father to ask permission so he could propose to me at midnight.
We spent most of the evening just hanging out watching movies because we weren’t feeling up to going out with everyone. It was nice – lots of cuddling and laughing, etc. When the clock turned, he said “happy 2010” and then gave me a quick kiss. Then he said “there is one more pressing order of business to attend to” and pulled out the ring. I started crying. He told me that my father gave us his blessing and then he asked me to marry him.
I’m still shocked – so amazing!!
I am including the only decent pic of the ring that I managed to get this evening – will try again later to get some better shots!!
