- Wedding: March 2013
So we had some ceremony venue issues due to our church having the requirement for us to take the premarital class before they actually put our wedding on the calendar. Since the premarital class was only offered every three months I tried to register for the session that was 2 months after we were engaged but my Fiance didn’t want to take the premarital weekend on the one year anniversary of his father’s death. So we had to to wait 5 months after we were engaged to get our wedding on the calendar but of course the church already had another wedding that booked 2 months prior to us..and the Easter Egg hunt next door to the other chapel in the church. So 4 months before our wedding we had to scramble and find another church to get married in that was close to the reception hall that we already paid for.
We found a great church that actually charges the same amount as our church charges for use of only the wedding chapel, but only at this church we get use of the entire church…nursery, classrooms, kitchen. This makes a more private affair. The down side was that the church had a maximum seating limit in the sanctuary of 125. So my Fiance (aka Mr. Social butterfly) just could not decrease his number of invited guest. I cut down my list but he acted as if I was asking him to give up our first born child when I told him to cut at least 20 people of his guest list.
Instead, my Fiance has actually been reminding people to RSVP and texting people that he wants to come to his wedding. He actually just invited 3 more couples after we received a few declines.
Our list of accepted RSVP’s is at 160 for a sanctuary of 125. I have no idea what we are going to do other than ask people to stand outside of the sanctuary and watch from the glass windows
