Yes to the sweetheart, and I like the pink sash! Adds some fun to the dress. I agree with PP’s that the flower on your sash might be a bit much… could you put the floral applique in your hair? Not sure if it would look good, but it’d be worth trying out.

2YorkiesMama:  Beautiful, beautiful dress! And congratulations for finding such a fantastic deal on it, too.

I love the sweetheart neckline you want to add. I think it’s so pretty and feminine, and it gives your dress that little bit of extra “oomph”. It’s so pretty under the lace, too.

I also really love the pink/blush sash (belt?) that you want to add. I think a little bit of color would be so pretty and perfect on your dress — especially if it makes it feel more like “you”.

I am not a huge fan of the floral applique. I like it better in the picture where your dress is on the hanger and the applique is pinned to the existing sash. Because it looks less overwhelming in “IRL size” than it did in the closeup picture you posted. Still, I don’t love it.

What about removing the bigger white flower in the applique (the one made of tulle — I think)? With the two smaller, more satin-looking flowers and the lacy-looking leaves and vines in the background, it might be just the perfect amount of “extra”.

2YorkiesMama:  I vote yes on all changes especially the sweetheart neck link it makes it so much softer and feminine. Also Yes you probably need a slip (or a poof-er as I like to call it hehe). I say send her under the knife!

Sweetheart.

Neither applique. (I’d look for another sparkly one)

Blush sash.

I think all of your alterations are great. I don’t think the floral sash would be too much with a bouquet – if you’re having a traditional bouquet. The blush sash is nicer than the ivory too, it’s a contrast so it pops. And the sweetheart neckline is definately a big improvement, much more interesting than the original. As the neckline is under lace it really does benefit from being more interesting.  Some dresses look better with a straight neckline but I definately think yours is better with the sweetheart.
