Cruising rocks!

My Fiance and I went on a three night Carnival Cruise in April and it was awesome!

And don’t worry about your room, you won’t spend a heap of time in there anyway – they do however turn down your bed each night and leave these cool towel animals on your bed each night!

we went on a carnival cruise in december and it was awesome! we didn’t have a window, but our beds were already pushed together when we arrived. Kemma was right, you won’t really spend too much time in the room. I know its your honeymoon and all, but… come on! you’re on a cruise!!

Yep, they’ll push the beds together. My sister and I go every year and the only time we spent in the room was this last one but that was only because we got sea sick. (We don’t get sea sick normally, he was just hauling a$$ to PR.LOL)

Have fun. I want to go on cruise for my honeymoon too. Also, an ocean view room isn’t a bad room. It’s quite nice and spacious.

We’re cruising, but not till January. We are doing a 13 day panama canal cruise. Im soooo excited.  We have a great room at the end of the boat (litterally the back) so we can see everything we pass, regarless of what side of the ship its on.  I love cruising. This will be my 3rd, and the hubby’s first. Its gonna be awesome! ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re cruising in October of next year – 7 days down to Mexico on Carnival Splendor.  We’re pretty excited about that!

finbergtobe: cruisecritic.com website is amazing. It will help you out with any questions you may have. I spent so much time on that website before going on my first cruise. You can also book excursions through the individual tour companies (for a lot cheaper than the cruise lines) So if you see an excursion you like, look it up on cruise critic and people will have recommendations for who to book through. I had great success with this.

P.S. The beds should be made up as one bed when you get there.

We’re cruising also….5 nights on Royal Caribbean’s Granduer of the Seas.  We stop in Cozumel & Grand Cayman.   I’ve been to both ports in the past, but I’m still excited because I LOVE to cruise!

We originally planned to go to Seaside, FL for 6 days, but after the Gulf Oil Spill we wanted something different, so we settled on this.  Fiance has never cruised, and he’s super excited too.  We also have an ocean view room.  We haven’t booked any excursions yet, so I’m not sure what we’ll do, if any.

Enjoy!

We are going on a cruise for the honeymoon too – on the Celebrity Solstice, Oct 3-10! Not too worried about hurricanes – I’ve lived in FL all my life and they’re usually mostly over by then. Summer is the rainy season in the Carribbean I think anyway.

I’ve been on Carnival before – Don’t worry about the room, I stayed in an interior room with no windows and didn’t even think twice about it cause there’s so much else to do on the ship you won’t even want to be in there much ๐Ÿ™‚ This time we have an ocean view room as a splurge and couldn’t be more excited!

And most cruise lines use smaller sized beds in all the rooms – just request that they’re made up together like one big bed and they’ll do it no problem ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re cruising too! Seems popular with alot of people. We have a 7 day, balcony ocean view room, and traveling to cozumel, cayman islands, and jamaica. I’ve never been on a cruise but Fiance has a couple times and he loves it! I’m super excited!

@FinbergToBe: We were very nervous about hurricane season. I live in Louisiana so its always a nervous feeling for about 5 months! we purchased insurance so if a hurricane comes we get refunded.

I have been on a few cruises but my first (October 2008) we did encounter a hurricane. I only got sea sick one of the nights, just go to the hospital on the ship and they give out sea sickness pills for free. We were supposed to go to St. Thomas and St. Maarten but we ended up going to Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel Mexico. No matter what the cruise staff is going to make sure that you have a fantastic vacation and if there is a change in itinerary it will still be a great time!

We’re not leaving for our honeymoon until 6 weeks after the wedding.  We’ve never cruised before, but I guess one of the frustrating things is that you can’t control when the ship comes and goes!

We’ll be on Norwegian Jade on 11/21, out of Barcelona.  Any experienced cruisers with suggestions about what to bring/not bring that us newbies may not have considered?
