Take her up to the top deck at night under the stars 🙂 There usually aren’t too many people out and about on the decks at night. Maybe at the front or back to the ship? scope it out.

@totheislnds:  That’s exactly what my now-FI did for me.  It was 2am after everyone had gone to bed.  We sat out on a bench on the top deck at the back of the ship watching the waves and then he got down on one knee and proposed.  It was perfect! 🙂

or how about going to the ships jewelry store (if they have one, some do) Tell your SO that you want to buy her a piece of jewelry, and have her try on a necklace, a bracelet etc. Then see if you can have the manager bring out the ring for her to try on? or keep it in your pocket and just get down on one knee. though this one may be a little more public than you would like.

Ask the crew if they will help you plan a scavenger hunt on the ship.  I read that someone did that and thought it was cute and showed a lot of effort.

@jtoups1214:  Actually, they do have jewelry stores on Carnival ships, so it’s quite possible they would play along.

Also, the ship will be deserted late at night – We went walking just about every night and we very rarely saw anyone else.  Also, depending on which ship you’ll be on, there will likely be an adults-only section of the decks which would be even more private.

This is what my Fiance did 🙂 We went for a walk before dinner and wound up on the deck by ourselves. It’s amazing how much alone time you can get on a ship with so many people. Good luck, I’m sure she will love it.
