@CarpefnDiem:  I saw THREE cruise weddings take place during our honeymoon!

They were GORGEOUS! Two were elopements, and the third had like 40-ish people in attendance! They rented out the boat’s night club for the afternoon!

Yay! Glad to see you’re post! We are getting on a Carnival ship May 2014 and getting off at the first port and getting married!

@CarpefnDiem:  This is exactly what we did for our wedding. We wanted a DW, without having to worry about the legalities of it being recognized in our state. We got married at the stroke of the new year with a VERY SMALL group of family and then had our wedding on the cruise ship while it was at-sea two weeks later. It was a lot more cost effective and convenient for us and it allowed our guests to have their days in port. We celebrate our anniversary on the date of our cruise wedding and view the New Year’s thing as a formality/paper signing. I’m sending you a PM with a bit more info. 🙂

I am from Australia and for our wedding we are going on a Carnival cruise and getting married at the first port (Port Vila , Vanuatu) 🙂 We are doing this in September 2014
