A close friend of mine went on Royal Caribbean and LOVED it. She and her new husband were gone for a week and had an absolutely wonderful time. She also said that booking through a cruise line that wasn’t Carnival was one of the better decisions they made. Carnival is great for regular cruising, but the other lines seem less like family ships and more geared toward people on romatic vacations, etc. Have fun picking!!

I’ve been on two cruises through Carnival and LOVED both of them! Carnival is definitely more of a “family” ship, so there are a lot of kids, but there is an adults only pool, so if you stay back there you never really see them at all! I’d definitely recommend cruising…it’s my favorite way to vacation!!

@vistagirl – that’s pretty much my reaction every time anyone mentions the word “cruise”. It’s seriously the most fun I’ve ever had in my life! You’ll love it!

I think we’ve decided on a cruise as well.  I’ve been on 3 (all with Carnival) and they were all amazing.  Your other top lines and safe bets will be Royal Carribbean, Princess, and Celebrity.  Anywhere they go will be awesome because there will be so much activity on the ships.  I’ve heard Holland and America had good food but I think those other four were good for everything else.
