I am so upset I can’t even express it. I worked so hard designing and DIYing my invitations— hours upon hours of work and hundreds and hundreds of euros spent! I just found out that all the invitations I sent from Rome to my FI’s relatives in southern Italy were stolen before they arrived! I sent them from the Vatican Post with beautiful collector’s editions stamps, and they were stolen for the stamps (FFIL warned me this might happen, but I had already bought the stamps and put them on the envelopes! I don’t have enough spares to send out more, am going to have to reprint! I am DEVASTATED! All invites to Rome and northern Italy arrived. Only in the ignorant backwater that is southern Italy (sorry but I’m pissed) do postal workers actually steal mail! I love Italy and enthusiastically chose to move here 6 and a half years ago, but all I can think now is GET ME OUT OF THIS F’UED UP COUNTRY!!!!
What kind of a person (let alone a postman) STEALS a wedding invitation!!!!????

Omg, that’s so awful!!! I’m so sorry, I can’t believe anyone would steal wedding invitations!

I can’t even believe that! I mean, if you’re going to steal the stamp, cut it off the envelope or something, and still deliver the invitation! They have no idea what information could’ve been in there..

That is awful! I’m so sorry that happened to you. At least you can feel fortunate in knowing that this didn’t happen to all of your invitations and that your family will understand. Shame on whoever would steal someone’s wedding invitations–they could have at least been polite enough to replace the stamps–they are postal workers!
