Let those tears fall, it's sweet and shows you care.

Suck it in sister, tears are tacky!

Stiffle the sniffle, but let one elegant tear fall.

You aren't going to cry? Is your heart made out of stone?

Haha it’s totally inevitable that I cry and everyone who knows me knows that, but I’m going to do my darnest to keep it to a few “elegant” tears haha.

I bawled my freakin’ eyes out. I was an absolute mess, but so wrapped up in the moment I didn’t even care what any of our guests thought.

I got emotional and thought I might cry but didn’t. I’m just not a cryer.

I always think it’s sweet to see emotion.

I started to tear up, but was too worried about ruining my $$ makeup-job, so I held it in!

Even then, I dabbed my eye funny with the kleenex our pastor gave me and it smudged my eye makeup and made one of my lashes come loose!  AH!  Good thing a friend wears lashes and had glue on her! 🙂

Nothing wrong with showing that emotion! I think it’s sweet when the bride/groom cry.

Nothing wrong with showing how you feel!

I cried a few tears during our ceremony….I was very emotional…in a GOOD way.

I’m probably going to cry, and I’m an UGLY crier haha. I’ll have to plan ahead and have a touch-up plan for my makeup before the reception.

I thought I would bawl my eyes out as I started tearing up when we were editing/going over the ceremony wording. Surprisingly, I didn’t shed a single tear the day of – probably the adrenaline. I actually love the photos of brides crying, although there’s elegant crying and straight-up bawling.

I don’t think it’s goingn to be something I can control – I’m sure it will happen but if it doesn’t that’s great too! It will be what it will be. People can think whatever the heck they want about it haha

A trick for helping keep your control when you feel yourself welling up: press your tongue against the roof of your mouth. I have no idea why it works, but it really does help stifle tears!

I will guarantee I will be a mess. I tear up reading our vows now. Or other people’s vows. Or seeing recaps. Or, well, really way too much. My best hope is that I just have tears running out of my eyes, not full-on, sniffling, ugly-face crying. I think it’s like 50-50 though.
