Hello fellow bees!
Please help! I am trying to prepare myself for the big day and I can only assume that I will be crying my eyes out! I am looking for something that is unique and special made from cloth. I have my something blue and I want to turn it into something that I can use to wipe my tears. Do any of you have any ideas other than tissue or handkerchief? I cant seem to find anything!

I’m a cryer myself 🙂
I’m not sure what items are acceptable other than tissues or a hankie! I’d use my arm lol

I’d recommend a hankie as well, tissues get yucky after getting used 😉 although, you might do okay! I am such a crier (I bawl during comedies. for instance, due date, when he was talking to his dead dad) and I didn’t cry once during my wedding! it was just so overwhelming in that moment I didn’t even think to 🙂

I would look at some flea markkets or vintage shops. You can find some beautiful old handkerchiefs. I am a huge crier and would start crying just talking about the wedding with someone, but I didn’t cry at all in my wedding. I kept thinking I would lose it and start bawling, but I was too busy smiling. :0

@doublea2a:Don’t wipe!!! Blot! And honestly, I used paper tissues and had *everyone* close to me bring a box. I used tons.
If you get a nice hankie, find a good place to put it, or have it be part of your bouquet holder or something.

Oh my goodness these are great tips! Thanks girls! I saw something once on TV but I cant seem to figure out what it is. She blotted her eyes with this sort of puffy looking thing that looked like a flower. It wasn’t just a folded cloth it actually had a shape to it and was a little puffy. Does anyone know what this is called or where I can find it? Thanks! 🙂

I know a few brides who have actually just stuck a few Q-Tips into their bouquet to use when they were needed.

You could make tissue carnations!!! My mom told me she is making them for me and she will also try a carnation hankie! I think it’s such a cute idea! I love that my mom is so creative!

That is a great idea! That is definitely something that I am looking for. I will search it. That sounds perfect. Thanks so much for the advice!

I am a HUGE cryer, too! Even at weddings where I barely know the people, I’m a mess. I keep reading these threads to hear about people who say they normally cry, but they were fine at their own wedding. Hopefully that will be me!
I think I’ll borrow the vintage hankie idea though, just in case :).

I’m a crier. 🙂
But every time I started to tear, I remembered how much I spent on my hair, makeup, and photographer. I was not about to look aweful all night, and I wanted awesome pictures! This helped stop the water works!
Also, walking down the aisle.. I told my dad to tell me jokes. The laughs made me smile instead of cry. 🙂
