Would anyone that has worn a crystal headband be able to tell me if it’s comfortable/stayed in place? I am going back and forth between a comb or a headband… I love both looks and my hair will be in a loose/low updo on the big day. I would just want both to stay on my head!
Something like this:
With this hair (without the braid & foral detail even though I adore it)

@lovebirds08: I wish I could help, but I just wanted to say that that headband is GORGEOUS! 😀

Gorgeous headband, but I can see it slipping around, unless there is some sort of grip underneath?

Love the headband as well! I’m thinking it’ll probably have to be pinned into place for it stay put. I’ve had many things pinned to my head over the years (ukrainian danced for 10 years) and I’m thinking you’ll barely know its there.

I have one a little different – rather than the ribbon, it’s just a wire headband.
Forgive the messy hair… It just usually is.
I’m not married yet so I haven’t worn it all day, but I have worn it for pretty long periods of time and it is totally comfortable. I forget it’s even there, and it doesn’t slide around at all. It has kind of an interesting shape – very wide and short – so I suppose that’s why it doesn’t hug my skull in a painful way. I love it!

There are ribbon headbands where the band itself is a lighter material that moves for maximum comfort. These bands can also double as sashes. My clients love the idea and are very happy with the fit.

I haven’t worn one. But could you secure it with bobby pins? I think it is lovely.

It’s a gorgeous headband, and I think as long as you secure it in your hair it won’t move around, it should work great.

Thanks everyone for the input! I ended up buying one blind and just hope it’ll stay put 😉 I’ll let you all know how that goes!

@lovebirds08: I love the headband you posted!
I haven’t worn my hairpiece yet, but I ordered a hair wrap with Swarovski crystals and flower and pearl accents. The crystals are tiny and give just a hint of sparkle, and I love it! As I said, I haven’t worn it yet (my wedding is in November), but I think it will stay in well because it wraps around my head and the flowers are clipped into my hair. Here is a picture (sorry I don’t have one of me wearing it):
Sorry for the huge picture … I can’t resize this one for some reason. Mine is a darker ivory.
I tried on some headbands with the ribbon when I was trying on dresses, and they seemed to stay on pretty well (unless the consultant didn’t tie them in very tightly). I know that’s not the same as wearing it all day/night during a wedding, but I think you could probably have your stylist clip in some bobby pins to help hold it in place (or something similar).

@angelinthesnowxo: Oh your hair wrap is beautiful! I’m sure it will stay it looks like it is/can be formed! I am going to take your advice and ask the stylist to just pin it underneath or something 🙂 Thank you!

@lovebirds08: Thanks! I was able to try on the hair wrap at the bridal shop (I ordered it when I ordered my dress and belt), and it felt pretty secure … Always a plus!
You’ll have to post pictures of your wedding day hair. I’m sure it will look awesome! (I loved your inspiration picture!)

The headband I love is like 200 bucks out of my budget 🙁

I wore an actual headband… and it stayed in fine.
