That was fast. Maybe the gem setter tool really helped speed things along? I think a lot of bees use tweezers, which sounds more time consuming.

your shoes look fantastic! I must say I am trying to make a cake topper with crystals and using tweezers and I pretty much want to rip my hair out of my scalp! What is that tool and where do I get it????

Those look great!

What kind of paint did you use for the shoes? Can you see the paint at all under?

And I love the pink! Even if its not your wedding color, I think you should leave them!

Pretty! Can I ask why it’s called “strassing?” I’ve never heard this term before the bee, and when we used to rhinestone all of our dance costumes, we just called it stoning lol. We stoned a lot! Also, for anyone stoning something, you can use a crayon instead of a fancy tool. The waxier the better, like the cheapo crayons from the dollar store. I can’t imagine using a tweezer I think I would blow my brains out!

@BlondeMissMolly:  OOOH. So like you can use the wax crayon to pick up the stones? Thanks for that tip!

And I have no idea why it’s called strassing haha

@cirk:  yup! I bet that is a little known technique haha. Once you get good you can really go fast. You will drop some off of your crayon but not a lot, and some crayons are better than others for some reason. And I refuse to call it strassing because I don’t like it lol.
