@Soon to be Mrs M: It depends on how you want to do it. I did this using about 3500 crystals on a size 10 peeptoe. I also used 4 different size crystals (20ss, 16ss, 12ss, 7ss) instead of all one size.

I decided to use swarovski crystals so they cost more, however, I bought them on Ebay so it cost me about $145 for crystals. You can also get crystals that aren’t swarovski for SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper (think 3000 for $15), but they don’t sparkle as much as swarovski and sometimes the colors are limited.

I used the color Volcano, which was only available as swarovski, so I had no options.

I used 10SS on my shoes. it took about 1500 stone for the 4″ heel and platform. I know a place where it is $60 per 1440 Stones for 10SS. Make sure when buying it is Swarovski Elements Rhinestones Xilion flat back. As there are lots of imitation crystals out there

I”m just looking to add a little to the bow on the front on my shoe (pic below) is there any recommendation on sizes for the Swarovski crystals?

@AmberAustin: I’m using a combination of 20ss, 16ss, 12ss, 9ss, 7ss and 5ss for my whole shoe, so maybe 12ss, 9ss and 7ss for the bow?

@Aure: Thanks!  I plan to only do the center of the bow or the rim of the center.  So I guess I can get the 7ss or the 9ss?

@Soon to be Mrs M: check out Bohemian crystal or Rhinestonesguy website. They both have stores too if you’re located in Los Angeles area. The price pretty decent. 🙂
