Hmmm where in CT are you getting married? For our Out of Town bags we’re doing more fall new england inspired things (not really CT)… maple leaf candy, apples, pumpkin bread, lindt chocolates, apple cider packets, bottles of water, and some other toiletries. Hope that helps! Are there area attractions you could put a little guide together for?

@joannet123: I saw one bag that had a note to the attendee curled up and resembled the constitution, as Connecticut is the constitution state. It also mentioned that on the note so people were sure to get it. You could also do something specific to the town you are from or are getting married in. If you are from over by the casinos you could give out playing cards. If you are from over by Yale and Stamford you could give out a book, or something else scholarly. If you are from the Groton area you could include something that is Navy based, as it has one of the largest sub bases anywhere. Pez is made in Orange Connecticut. You could also get something Uconn related. One thing that definitely says Connecticut to me is apples.

Some movies that were made in Connecticut are –

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Old Dogs, What Just Happened, The Accidental Husband and In Bloom. Part of Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was shot in CT.

This website has some Connecticut things – http://shop.cafepress.com/made-in-connecticut I’m not sure it is what you might want but I thought I would include it just in case you do.

Hmm.. have you considered apples from one of the orchards here?  Or buying Pez or Bare Naked Granola (both made in CT).  I think a gum is packaged here too, forget which one..
