“I bought my dress at a consignment shop, but I think I’d actually rather keep it for a little while. Then maybe sell it myself or give it away to someone who needs it.”

That’s something I was going to post on another Weddingbee thread. I guess this is what I do at my fiance’s. Lol. That was last week though, I’m surprised he hasn’t CTRL-C’d since then.

Time for you and time for me,
And time yet for a hundred indecisions
And for a hundred visions and revisions
Before the taking of a toast and tea.

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michelangelo.

And indeed there will be time
To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?”
Time to turn back and descend the stair,
With a bald spot in the middle of my hair—

LOL!!  It was part of a poem that I googled during my exam to find out the title.  I may have been cheating…

I won’t post it here (since it’s a blog link) but funnily enough, it’s a blog by one of our members, Mrs Green Grass! 😉

“I just can’t believe I found out on FB! If I were more of an asshole, I’d post one of those super passive aggressive pointedly vague status updates. You know, like

“I hate it when people leave me out of the loop and I have to find out news on FB”

And I mean hello, a little warning please? This wedding has been off and on for over a year, and now suddenly they have to get married rightthissecond?”

Excerpt from an email to my mother…I have a laptop with just the touchpad, and have a bad habit of accidentally closing windows or deleting text.

Background: My stepsister posted on FB this evening that her and her on-again off-again are getting married in NYE. Like in 3 weeks. And I can’t be there because plane tickets are astronomical. We could afford it if I went alone, but then I wouldn’t be with Darling Husband for NYE, and that’s not acceptable. Her life, whatever, just annoyed because for years she’s gone on about how when she gets married I’ll be her Maid/Matron of Honor, even the last time I talked to her, but she didn’t give me anytime to save  up for a plane ticket or anything. Ugh.

  • Sara: Mike says he doesn’t think I can handle the commitment of the smitten

Samm: I don’t know if anyone can handle the committment on the smitten. What if your significant otter has sweaty hands??

    December 6 at 8:44pm ·

  • Sara: or sharp claws…in the case of an otter

    December 6 at 8:45pm ·

Sara: might smell like fish too

    December 6 at 8:45pm ·

  • Samm: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

    December 6 at 8:47pm ·

Erica: I think the claws are a legit concern.

    December 6 at 10:55pm

  • Samm: probably. they would mess up all the knitting and stuff.

    December 6 at 10:58pm ·

Sara: you’d have to line them in leather.

    Samm: talk about sweaty claws!!

Um. Right. So theres this thing called the SMITTEN thats two mittens sewn together so that you can hold hands with your SO. Lately I’ve been calling significant other “significant otter” because of an adorable picture…

So yeah….thats what THAT was about….I had to share that conversation with others that love otters. lol
