We’re doing cupcakes, because well.. I can get 13 dozen for until $250 and 9 different flavors.
We are going to have the usual chocolate and vanilla. they offer carrot cake, and hummingbird cake. Hummingbird cake is pineapple, banana, with some cinnamon. Topped with cream cheese icing and topped with chopped pecans.
So now choices are they have weekly special flavors. And since we’re so far out, she’s letting me pick, as long as it goes with the season. Which would you pick bees? We’re getting married at a baseball field.
So my choices are:
Spring Berry-Inspired Flavors – Strawberry shortcake, Peach Melba, chocolate dipped strawberry, blueberry lemon, and chocolate blackberry.
Citrus-Inspired Flavors – blood orange, grapefruit (topped with a candied grapefruit), lime, lemon and orange.
Tropical-Inspired Flavors – pina colada, chocolate banana, strawberry, mango coconut lime and strawberry kiwi.
Ladies’ Night-Inspired Flavors – Cosmo, Kir Royale, Chocolatini, Mojito and Bellini.
Or just leave it at chocolate, vanilla, hummingbird and carrot.

Well I messed up the poll, and put the spring berry choice up top. So poo, I guess change other to spring berry when voting.

The tropical inspired ones sound yummy!!!

I was torn between Spring Berry and Tropical (I voted tropical since it was in the poll), but I would pick either of those choices! Yum!

Citrus since you already have a tropical flavor in there with the hummingbird cake. Also, I break for anything blood orange!

Ah so torn! I wish I could have them all. We’re letting the guests pick. I’m going to talk to the cupcake lady maker.

They all sound pretty tasty… I chose Ladies Night, because I’ve never had liquor-soaked cake that wasn’t delcious LOL! 🙂

Hummingbird cake is delicious!! But it’s not a very strong tropical flavor… if it has clove, that becomes a dominant flavor and you might want to lean toward Ladies Night flavors to compliment. Citrus is tricky to translate (like grapefruit). Spring Berry sounds like generally popular flavors. Geez, I’m hungry now! 😉

@jjmomma: it doesn’t have clove, that I know of. I’ll ask her today and update.
I found some new flavors. Not sure if I can post the link to their website, but they’re called carytown cupcakes.

These two sound amazing.. in this order: #1 Tropical, #2 Spring Berry

I would do Spring Berry of those flavor options.
Although really – I think you’d be better just doing chocolate, vanilla, hummingbird and carrot. Too many options can get confusing/complicated for your guests and many people may end up with flavors they don’t like when others run out (since with 9 choices, there are fewer of each flavor).

I chose the tropical ones! Yum!

BERRY ALL THE WAY!! Citrus and Tropical and even ladies night get REALLY specific, and not a lot of people care for those flavors. I would definitely either go Berry, or just go with the delicious flavors you’ve already picked out!! YUM! Now I want a cupcake 😛

@tuscanbride: Agree, and I was getting so hungry trying to break it down… I confused myself! Can I just be a guest at the wedding and try them all? lol Thanks for knocking me off the wagon. 🙂
