I wouldn’t make all chocolate unless you know that everyone likes chocolate. It’s no big deal to make chocolate and vanilla, especially if you are using a mix. You can mix up 1/2 of each box.

I personally would use an apple corer, remove a core of the cupcake, fill the hole with a filling, put the core back in then frost them.

I think just using different toppings- rounds spinkles, normal sprinkles, little sugar flowers, etc.- would be pretty easy but looks interesting when mixed and matched.

If you fill them, you can core them with an apple corer…or you can get a syringe and inject differrent spots on the cupcakes to randomly put shots of flavor. I think your idea is supercute!
