We are doing cupcakes instead of a traditional cake and I am making our own menu/sign to display the flavors. I also want to put
“Please wait until the newlyweds cut the cake before helping yourself!”
Is there anything cuter or is that sufficient? Should I say “please wait…cut the cupcake…” instead? (even though we would not actually cut the cupcakes.) I just want it to be clear to our guests NOT to take one before we have our photo of the “cake cutting”. HELP me bees!

I love amyddlz’s wording, it can easily be modified if you want to be more accurate to your wedding, too. “Please wait until after the bride and groom cut the (cup)cake to help yourself”
