- Wedding: September 2012
Fiance and I recently met our baker at a bridal expo (that I dragged him to!) and picked her because her samples tasted really good, very moist and tasty, and her pricing was great! Plus she agreed to deliver to our location (45 mins away from our venue) for FREE!!
Fiance tried chocolate at the expo and I tried vanilla, but we don’t want to have either of those flavors at the wedding, so I’m trying out different flavors at my consultation on Tuesday.
She emailed me a list of flavors and had me pick 3 potentials. Fiance wants me to try the cranberry flavor on his behalf, and I picked almond and bavarian creme for the other 2 flavors.
Do you think 2 unconventional flavors is too much? Should one of them be plain white? I don’t think we really have any picky eaters or anything, but still. Also, is it bad not to have something more decadent for the chocolate lovers? Our favors will likely be chocolate candies or butter mints…
I just didn’t think that anything dark would really go with our light airy pastel theme. Also, none of the other foods on our menu are very rich. We’re having grilled chicken, pasta salad, chips & dip, and possibly hotdogs or sandwiches.
Any advice on this specifially or cake tasting experiences in general? I may add a poll for more obvious numerical data 😛
