- Wedding: July 2016
So, my SO accidentally saw this post a few days ago. I had it open on my phone and completly forgot when I handed it to him. He only had it for a few seconds but it was enough for him to get the gist. He doesn’t know it was my post but I still felt super awkward about it.
What’s weird timing wise is that we did actually talk about it earlier that day and had an argument. (The argument wasn’t so much about waiting, but about the way in which it was brought up.)
What I got out of the talk though was pretty significant. I think I might be getting a proposal either by the end of this year or early next year (if everything goes according to plan). My SO still wants to get an apartment first (hopefully this summer) and then take a few months to save up. He also mentioned that he would like to be married before I graduate (maximum 3 years) and I made it clear that that would involve getting engaged this year or next. So all in all, that’s pretty exciting (minus the argument we had lol). What’s also cool timing wise is that we’re planning a big vacation in January of next year…. 🙂
(although that could also mean not having enough money for anything else lol I can see the other side of any situation haha)
Now I’m conflicted about the wedding. I won’t be making money until after I graduate, so assuming we get engaged in the next year, not sure how we’re going to pay for the wedding =/
