@krissycake – Haha!  I was thinking the same thing!

I haven’t thought about what I want to do yet.  I agree with people that said it’s too expensive and pretty to not wear it!  But hey, I’ve never seen my mom wear hers.  She hates how it gets caught on everything.  Plus she has a really thick wedding band.

I plan on always wearing both of mine. The only exeption is skiing, the e-ring doesn’t fit in the glove.. haha

I love them couldn’t seperate them they are buddies!

My mom had her wedding band and her engagement ring melted down and then re-shapped into one ring and had the stone reset so now its just one! Kind of cool I think. Maybe something you would want to do for an anniversary or something.

I plan to wear mine until I croak or it’s unwearable due to condition or inability to be re-sized. My mom still wears both of hers and my parents have been married 38 years.

I wear both rings together.  I love my engagement ring and can’t imagine taking it off!  I’d actually never heard of anyone not wearing their engagement ring until I heard it here on WB.

I’m not sure, but probably for a long time.

Forever.^^  But when I get married I’ll be wearing my e-ring on my left hand for cultural reasons, and wearing my wedding ring on my right for religious reasons.  I do have friends who don’t wear their e-rings though.  Mostly because they are too big and expensive, so they don’t feel comfortable wearing them all the time.

I still wear both of mine most of the time.  I wore just my wedding band when we went on our honeymoon, and for a couple of months, I stopped wearing my e-ring to work because of a creepy guy talking about how nice it was.  But I’m back to wearing both of them now!

I told m SO from day 1 that the setting couldn’t be too high or snag esily.  as a photographer I’m digging in bags really quick, slinging 15 lbs of camer equipment over my shoulders, and climbing trees 🙂  I don’t ever want to take it off so I looked around with my SO and we made sure it fit not only my personality but my very active lifestyle.

I will take it off when surfing though.  I don’t want to loose it in an ocean!

I plan to wear my together indefinitely. It’s so beautiful and perfect that I wouldn’t even want to not wear it. My mother still wears both her engagement and wedding rings every day, even after being married for 30 years.

It’s a personal preference completely. I personally love my ring too much and would love to wear it as long as it stays in good shape!

Personally, I can see myself putting the e-ring away for certain periods of time (pregnancy and that sort of thing), and I’m already super cautious about when I wear my garnet ring. The wedding band is the ring I’m determined to never take off. When that ring goes on, it stays on. They’ll have to cut it off of me in cases of medical emergency. But the e-ring I’ll probably be willing to remove, if there’s a reason.

As long as it will fit on my finger, that is to say, probably not when I’m pregnant. But that’s probably the only time I won’t wear it.
