Did you start a new birth control or anything recently? Hormone changes (stress, b.c., etc…) make my curls go nuts. I can’t dye it either …. I had hightlights in it once and my hair was screwed for months.
I use Dove shampoo and conditioner, then a leave-in conditioning balm from Garnier (comb through it with a wide-tooth pick), and then rub in a Treseme mousse for thick hair with my fingers. I blow-dry with a diffuser and then don’t touch it for the rest of the day.
Products labeled for “curly hair” NEVER work for me and make my hair freak out.

@JRL2012: I have extremely curly hair! And if I don’t use any product or sleep on it, BOOM afro looking hair. I notice that my hair looks different depending on where I wash it. And water does change even if you’re still living in the same place. So I’d recommend getting a little bit trimmed off, and it may make a big difference. As well as the amount of shampoo you use and how much you wash your hair, and even when you chose to put product in! Hair can be crazy specific! I guess it’s just trial and error!

@Emily Joy – thank you 🙂 and I’m used to the weather playing a role but I’ve never had anything like this happen. It’s truly weird!
@missblueshoes – I haven’t changed anything! That’s why I thought it was the dye. But I’ve had it dyed before and this didn’t happen. Curly hair products usually don’t work for me either… Which defeats the purpose of them haha
@aaalexx – I’m going to have to try showering somewhere else and see if that works. If so than we are moving! Jk … But still if it’s my water that will suck!
