smalltownbigworld :  Mazda 2! I paid around $14k AUD for it in 2014. It was my first new car and I love it. Easy to park, doesn’t use much petrol, but doesn’t feel small.

Aud A5 Coupe 1.8tfsi. Drives like a dream, nice and quick off the mark. Comfotable inside and great boot space (boot means trunk in UK). Not so practical as it has 3 doors, but I’m considering changing to the 5 door A5.

I’m still driving my very first car! An 18 year old Honda Civic. When it finally kicks the bucket, I’ll be replacing it with another Civic.

2015 Chrysler 200c. Traded in my 2008 Mercedes sedan for it.  Prior to that I drove a Honda Ridgeline, Honda Accord, and a Ford Expedition. I’d recommend any one of those except for the Benz. There was always something wrong with that car – mostly minor but a light would pop on for something nearly every week. Hated that car! The Chrysler is awesome – all the modern features and an interior that looks like a gorgeous tan leather spaceship! Having driven over 30 years, I never thought I’d see the day that I had a car that parked itself, braked if I got too close to something, call out directions, make phone calls, internet, heated and cooled seats, cameras, the list goes on and on. Car does everything but write the check every month.

smalltownbigworld :  I drive a 2011 Toyota Prius. Love it for the gas mileage and the reliability. The only thing I dont like about it is the low clearance to the ground. Makes things difficult in the winters here. I got mine “used”, it was a courtesy vehicle so it had less than 1,000 miles on it, and I got almost $10,000 off of the price.

My Fiance and I just bought a F150 and love it!

I just recently purchased a 2017 Mercedes GLC and I love it! I like having an SUV, but it is not too big while providing the higher ride of an SUV. I also love the safety features it has (blind spot assist, lane keeping, etc.).

I highly recommend Hertz car sale https://www.hertzcarsales.com/.  The process was great I had the ability to try the car out for 3 days and then buy it.  Never had to return the car they just let you keep it as the draw the documents and help you obtain financing.  I got a great deal on car 2 years old that was very well maintained and CLEAN!  I’ve had the car for 2.5 years and have had no problems – Ford focus hatchback.

I have a 2007 honda civic with around 140k miles.  Not really into cars and love no car payments so I will drive until it’s not worth it.  Mine really hasn’t had many issues, don’t spend much on upkeep.  My DH drives an even older explorer (2002 I think?) but we only decided to drive it recently (it was free and had maybe 130k miles on it) and he puts a lot of miles on vehicles so probably won’t last a super long time.  Not sure what we will replace with after that but we don’t like car payments so we’ve never had a car payment in the 6 years we’ve been together so far. Probably need at least one SUV type since I have a double bob stroller I need to use sometimes.  My husband is pretty frugal so there you go! For smaller cars I also like subaru’s and the prius (although battery replacements are expensive, but so awesome on the gas mileage).  I have a 3 year old and a 5mo old so while we all can fit in my civic, it wouldn’t be ideal for long trips.  But it still works for my day to day so I see no reason to replace it.

I just got rid of my 2011 Hyundai Sonata and purchased a new Honda Accord. I commute a lot and the Hyundai just couldnt hold up. I had nothing but problems with that car. The Accord is great thus far. Has all kinds of features I will probably never even use. We looked at the Civic and the Accord. The Civic has a Turbo model which gave it a lot of pep and my DH really liked that. However, I am of the older generation and the Civic no longer offers a cd player in their cars. I know that is the wave of the future, but I love my cds so I went with the Accord. Also the Accord is a little bigger for hopefully a baby in our future 🙂
