Eh, not a fan. Maybe try some different doors or even paint them white? The thing with doors covering the laundry area, it muffles some of the sound out. There is a huge difference when our door is open and shut to our laundry room.

I like curtains but not the metallic — something softer would look nicer in that space I think!

I think the curtains are a little too formal for a laundry room. Perhaps if you had selected a casual stripe or a solid in a heavier mor casual fabric.

Of the two choices, I would go with the doors. They make the space look bigger. But they would look better if they were painted white to match the other door in the room. That would brighten up the space and make them blend into the background rather than being a focal point.

I like the doors better, and I agree with a PP’s suggestion of painting them white.

We did ours to match our kitchen cabinetry. They look great.

yeah, not in love the with metallic. if it’s the style of door that is the pain, try a different one. is there a possiblity of opening it up completely to open the space up?

I agree, definitely the doors but perhaps try painting them white? Or if you’re into the rustic style, something like this:

I agree with doors just b/c of the sound aspect.

I agree, paint the doors white.

We have doors on our laundry area and I like them better than curtains because they block some of the sound from the machines.

Personally, I replaced my laundry closet doors with curtains, and I much prefer it.  But I don’t particularly like the curtains you have there now.  If I remember, I’ll post a picture of ours to give you an idea of something else you can do in that space.
