I have an appointment coming up at Curvaceous Couture in Columbia, MD. I am really excited about it and I was wondering if anyone has ever been there or has any advice about what to expect!
Thanks so much!

I bought my dress there in 2011, I have one suggestion – be open minded about what looks good on you. I ended up trying on dresses that I never would have thought about…and I ended up with something that I really love. Even if you have pictures or a specific dress in mind, just try on at least 4-5 and then see. They are very nice there and the dressing room and general decor of the place is to die for. I have plenty of postings of my Pronovias on this site lol.
I had a really good time when I was there, just enjoy the moment! PM me if you get a chance after you go, I’d like to hear what another Bee thinks.

I completely agree with the previous post! Be open minded! I bought a dress also that I probably would have never tried on! 🙂
If you are going from out of town…make an appt at CurvyGirls Bridal as well! They are about 45 mins away from each other. I bought my beautiful dress from them. The store’s beautiful and the ladies that worked there were amazing!
It will feel great to have two stores to go to and I’m positive you will find your dress at one of them!!

Thank you so much for your advice!
I made a trip down to MD and I said yes to the dress! Like you ladies suggested I told them that I was open to trying anything and everything, and I literally tried on every style of dress that was in the store!
My dress ended up being something that I never thought I could wear! I love a-line dresses because they are always so figure-flattering for me but I came home with a drop waist dress! I’m in love with it and I had an awesome experience.
I would tell any and all plus-size brides to make a trip to Curvaceous Couture! It’s so worth it!

I’ve been there, but I didn’t buy my dress from there. It was a great experience, though. Like a PP said, be open minded and try on styles that you didn’t consider before. Good luck!
