I’ll be looking to buy some sexy lingerie soon for our honeymoon. I’ve never really tried any on in the past except when I was younger and with my ex. I was skinnier then and felt sexy. I am a pear shaped woman with a smaller top and a big butt/thighs. I’m afraid I’ll pick something that won’t look great on me. Any suggestions? What are your favorite ones to wear/buy?

I usually just wear black lace boy shorts, nothing fancy but its about as fancy as I get!

I love Fredricks of Hollywood 🙂 They are cut for a curvy girl, whereas in my own experience, VS is cut for someone who is thinner.
For curvy girls, I think the best options are not ones that try to conceal (you know, like the dress swimsuits) parts, so like billowy tops or whatnot… but rather, figure-hugging ones. More like this:
And less like this:

Lane Bryant and Torrid usually have nice stuff (I’ve only ever bought stuff from Lane Bryant, but I’m sure Torrid is good, too). I have the same general shape as you and I love the babydoll style stuff!
Not exactly sexy, but kind of bridal
A bit tame, but still nice
The selection is a little crappy at the moment, but keep checking over the next few months!
ETA: Clearly, Eagle and I have differing opinions on this lol. I’m not trying to hide anything when I wear babydolls, I just really like them…and bending over while wearing a babydoll can be quite hot, heh

Thanks for the suggestions, girls! I’ve always looked on websites, but never had the nerve to order anything.

If you want something more casual and cute (less lacey, more comfy) I got some really cute things at Kohls from Vera Wang. They are really soft and cottony which may be more comfy to sleep in on the honeymoon. Ooooh thread just for me lol. I was just telling my SO how I want to invest in some lingerie.
@ThingsThatShine: Oh my! lol I think most guys would appreciate their hunny bending over regardless of what she is wearing or lack of 😉

@eagle: I actually love number 2! I think that looks great on her.

I have bought a few items from hips & curves. I like their prices compared to some places. (I usually only buy when on sale because I’m just a cheap-o haha)

Oh my gosh this are scandelous! If I walked out in that on my wedding night I think my Fiance would be so shocked — in a good way! I’m not normally the type to dress up like that, but maybe I will be!

I am a bigger girl with a small chest, and I have had good luck at Torrid. I’m more of an apple shape when I’m at a higher weight.
I have something very similar to this from Torrid, and it’s flattering because my tummy is my problem. It covers my poochy tummy and accentuates my legs.
If your hips/bottom are significantly larger than your top, a shorter corset-type top that ends at the hip (like this one below) with a pair of coordinated boyshorts may be the most flattering for your body shape (IMO).
