I did the same thing. Maybe if we kept eachother accountable we could shed some pounds to fit into our dresses? We have close wedding dates and plenty of time to loose 20ish or even more pounds. ๐Ÿ™‚

I Had my dress and Love it. Then decided that it was to much dress for my august wedding and Found a new dress on DB ordered a sz 16 when i’m a 12/14 street sz. This was in June. so when it came it was tight up top around the bust area 36Dirty Delete. So i had about 2 months and i did it. lost alomst 20lbs. Cut portions and waled/ran and swam.

I’ve heard from a lot of other bees who say it is definitely possible ๐Ÿ™‚

@boynamedgirl:  I just wanted to say I think it’s really cool you did that… Hope is good. Very brave, too! If you want a buddy to loose weight let me know.

We currently switched to a veganish lifestyle for health reasons (I’m not hard core about it, like if I see cheese on a salad I still eat the cheese.lol) but we cut out 95% of our meat( we go out once a month or so and I cut out 90% of our dairy intake and I have to say the results are really good. I don’t know if you into jogging or anything but I have a sweat suit ( I bought it at target I think . It’s like a giant garbage bag) that I wear around the house when I clean so I can work up a good sweat or when I go out jogging. Try and cut out the bad stuff, and drink lots of water…. People laugh when I say this but eat stuff that makes you go the bathroom! It helps!

I am wearing spanx because my size 16 dress (street 12/14) dress is a tad snug in the hips and the fabric pulls a bit.  They take 1-2″ off easy and they will prevent my summer chub-rub between my thighs.  They are also more comfortable than you would think.

@boynamedgirl:  I’m in. I really need to just tone and drop a few off my tummy but it would be GREAT to have buddies.

@boynamedgirl:  You have plenty of time to lose weight and you probably won’t need to lose much. I know that many Bees advise against ordering smaller sizes but I think sometimes that is just the push you need to lose it. Some people work best under pressure.

Ugh I’m planning on doing the same thing! What a gamble but there is no way I feel comfortable rocking a wedding dress without shedding some lbs. so it’s not really an option NOT to get a smaller size!

I Initally wanted to order in a smaller size but was strongly persuaded not to. Now four months later I am down 40 pounds and anxiously waiting my dress to arrive to see if I still love it now that my body is much smaller. Luckily it is a corseted back and is an easy alter to make smaller so this works in my favor. Losing that much weight is totally possible but it will take a lot of work and dedication!

Best of luck.

I ordered my dress yesterday for my Decemeber wedding, I was inbetween the 18 and 20 and the store made me get the 20 because they cant change it if it comes in too small. I really hope they have to take it in to around a size 16 so we should all motivate eachother!
