cmbee:  If you live an active lifestyle and don’t want to take your ring off, then set it in a bezel solitaire, with no pave or side diamonds. And make sure you have great insurance that covers mysterious disappearances.

Personally, I’d put a big stone like that in a delicate 4 prong setting so it’s visible on all sides, but that would not suit an active lifestyle.

Bezels are great! but if you have all those side stones you can still loose them. Make sure whatever jeweler you get the setting from is okay with replacing them because if you’re really active they’ll fall out more often. It’s not expensive to replace them, but its a hassle

Flowercrowns is right- what will really be the issue is the little sidestones/pave falling out. An animal is not going to chip a diamond (unless its already cracked- but your report would have made that clear).

Pretty ring but not the sort of ring to wear when working with animals.

    You have three choices:

    1.Comprehensive insurance.

2.Don’t wear the ring at work.

    3.  Don’t wear the ring at work but instead have a substitute ring – maybe a small sapphire or ruby in a bezel ring.  Something pretty but something that you won’t be heartbroken over if you damage it.

MrsBuesleBee:  I recall a previous thread by this poster: it is ‘clarity enhanced’ which means that not only are there large inclusions/chips/cracks but they have been filled with a non diamond compound.

i would definitely te ly be worried about it falling apart if you’re super rough, so the bezel is a good idea!

I think a bezeled cushion would look amazing!
