(Closed) Cushion Cut but NOT square looking

I have a cushion that definitely looks rounded and not square. The problem with cushions in a halo is unless they are custom made in a cushion shape, they will almost always be square, therefore making your diamond looks square.

I don’t think the setting matters in making it look square, it’s the cut of the diamond.  One side needs to the longer.  My dimemsions are about 7.46 X 6.46.  I have a simple prong setting.

My cushion cut looks more square than the other 2 here, but even so, no one ever confuses it with a princess cut which I think of as the typical square cut. People always ask me what cut it is if they haven’t seen one before.

I have an elongated cushion cut WITH a halo and love it. I specifically picked out a more rectangluar cushion cut so it doesn’t look square.

@fashionbug: Thanks! My center stone is 1.21 and the pave stones equal 0.71… so the ring is 1.92 cttw. I think the close up photo makes the pave look bigger than normal. The stones in the halo and on the band are very small. See below:
