@beezzzkneez:  I don’t have pictures of mine anymore because I sold it, but I had a 1ct cushion.  I’m not sure if you knew, but the cushion also has a lot of body color.  I remember seeing on BTD that they are in the L-M-N color range.  That’s one of the reasons I sold mine.  However, they are very sparkly!

If you do the Amora enhancement from MoissaniteCo, a cushion will be graded as a J but face up a little whiter than that.  Check out the tab for cushions here:

I ordered a 1.8ct equivalent cushion to look at in person while deciding, and I highly recommend that!  You can get a sense of the size and how it looks in different light.

The stone was sent back to be set… once the Boyfriend or Best Friend proposes I can show you a pic of the ring.  Laughing

betterthan diamond has posted a couple of “informational” pages about two new amora gem cuts they are going to put on the market soon:

I thought I had heard something about doing an antique style cushion cut as well, but I  can’t find that.  amora gems (which are different from the amora enhancement) are suppoed to be the whitest moissanites to date, but they’re not on the market yet, or so I’ve heard.

oh! for some reason in your original post, I thougth you were referring to moissanite. oops!

to answer your original question then: I personally don’t love square brilliants. there are too many tiny facets. I really love princess cut stones. I espeically love ones with the corners cut off so they aren’t so spiky looking, but those are hard to find.

anyway, good luck with your search!

@beezzzkneez:  I love the tulipset look! I am especially a fan of the low-profile 6-prong tulipset option Mo Co has. Yum! Would not work for cushions though.

If you do want a whiter stone, I would go for the Amora enhancement for sure. I like more colour, but the cushions do show more body colour then rounds, which may be too much colour for some.

I look forward to pictures once you get it!
