@kc627:  yeah you should read up on it! Your Fiance will probably know if that’s what it is. Basically daussi cushions are cut much shallower than regular cushion cut diamonds. It’s a branded cut, and is really a personal preference kind of thing. Beautiful!

@BlondeMissMolly:  He’s never mentioned it. I’ll have to ask. I looked it up and for what he paid I don’t know if it is a daussi cushion.. I would assume that if it is branded that they are a bit more pricey?

As far as I know, there are no “ideal” cuts for cushions, like there is for round brilliant. So the dimensions are totally up to you. So yes, more of the weight could be in the belly, but if a larger face is important to you, and can select a stone with those dimensions. Not all cushions are cut the same.

@musician32992:  ok, gotcha! will all the stones fit in the setting?

I’d get the 1.4 if it fits, since you probably don’t want something smaller (looking) than what you currently have.

Here’s mine! A 1 carat cushion cut halo! It’s band is 1.8 mm on a 4.75 finger 🙂 I love it!! I don’t care if cushions face up smaller, it’s rare and sooo sparkly! 🙂

That is amazing OP you and I have the same ring in mind and I am wondering the same thing!!! I on the other hand have large hands so I know I will have to get a larger stone. However, I dont want to go any larger than the 1.4! I dont want to lie to people and tell them its a diamond but I dont want it to large that people will feel the need to ask! If that makes sense! Do you plan to get a FB,Amora or unenhanced? I think that makes a difference in what size stone you should get as well!

@musician32992: I actually went ahead and got the Forever Brilliant and it is sooooo pretty! I can only imagine what the amora would look like! Here is mine, its the same ring you are looking at. Mine is 1.1 and the FB on a size 10 finger.  This pcture is the only one that I have that shows color. If you can handle that, its the worst it has looked and I think it is still pretty!
