I want my shoes to have blue soles (similar to the limited edition Louboutins). And I picked the perfect shoes to go with my dress (Badgley Mischka Randall). But I’m wondering how I can get blue soles on them. They have a bit of a platform. I’ve seen the stick on ones and the DIY paint jobs with nail polish. Any better solutions? I saw a girl on Etsy doing custom painting. But will the paint just scratch off when you walk?

@MrsD2Be: A shoemaker should be able to add a thin layer of blue leather for you.
You can order the sole from http://www.saveyoursole.co.uk/
Other ideas:
1.Vibram is a company that makes the sheets that cobblers use to make replacement soles. You can use their website to find a cobbler near you and ask if the product comes in blue or if it can be dyed blue.

2. Sole tech is another supplier to shoe repair shops. They make blue sole protector sheets. Same advice- find a cobble who uses their product or is willing to order it in.

3. see this older post about Master Cobbler who apparently do this work. If there isn’t one near you, you can mail them your shoes and a paint chip of the color blue you want.

@MrsD2Be: You may want to look at http://shop.pressleynco.com/main.sc
She’s working on launching a line of blue soled shoes!
I will say that it’s going to scratch off regardless in my experience…

@MrsD2Be: I don’t think the paint will scratch off because you are elevated on the little platform.
