I got some news last night about my dressmaker that made me a little nervous. I am about four months into making my dress. It is almost finished and looks great as far as I’m concerned, but now I’m nervous. A few weeks ago I sent a friend who had a bridesmaids dress to take in for a wedding that she was in to have her dress done by my seamstress because I thought she was awesome. Yesterday when I asked her about the wedding and how it went she told me that my seamstress did a really poor job on her dress. The bottom seam was all wavy and there were loose threads where the boning was in the top. We both concluded that maybe whe was just in a hurry when she did the bridesmaids dress, but I don’t know. Now I feel like I need to look really close when I go for my next fitting, but I really don’t know what to look for. Getting a custom dress is stressful enough without this on top of it. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
