Yes, they should give you a quote up front, based on the type of fabric being used. If you cannot get a picture of the back, find a back that you do like and tell them. Measurements can be done whenever you’re ready to order. Get them done at any seamstress, or have someone who knows about tailoring do it. 

They have color charts on their site, or you can purchase fabric swatches. The color charts are a pain in the ass to find now, so: satin, chiffon, charmeuse, taffeta. If you pick a dress and then click on the available colors, there’s a link at the bottom of the color box that goes to the actual color chart.
