In my opinion, the colors in the wedding band along with the distinct shape distract from the beauty of the e-ring. What about having the same wedding band, but just straight (not contour) with a bit of a gap so you can see the beauty of both rings?

Is it pink gold? Although I like pink gold I do think it looks odd next to the white gold (platinum) ring, maybe if it didn’t brace the ring. It doesn’t look tacky but it wouldn’t be my first choice, but it might be the graphic image. If you like it go for it.

I like the engagement room, and I like the pink gold, but the shape combined with all the different colors reminds me of brass knuckles. I know that might seem like a weird comparison, but it’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the photo.

@Mrs. Fireworks: I agree.

I love rose gold/white gold mixed, but I’d prefer them as two distinct rings!

I love it! I’m partial to rose gold and white gold because that’s what my set is too… I would like to see another option for the shape of the wedding band, it’s very contoured to the e-ring and probably couldn’t be worn alone.

Your matching/not matching ratio is not working for me.

From the queen of not matching–either go for broke or go home.  Get something totally and completely not matching (like a straight band without the obviously matching detail with the rose gold and pink stones) or a single change in the band.  Have the band in white gold but keep the pink sapphires or have the band rose gold but change the sapphires for diamonds.  Or totally matching the ring would be an attractive option.

There are other ways to have rose gold and white gold and still look good–perhaps look into having rose and white gold in the ering so you can coordinate with the wedding band.

I like it! I’d probably consider having a yellow gold ring made to fit on top of the set. I love wearing a combination of the three golds!

I would also prefer a straight band.  It’s not the colour difference that is standing out, it’s the colour difference plus the exact contour fit.  I also kinda second what PP said about brass knuckles.  The e-ring is totally gorgeous…I just don’t really like that band that fits into it.

What if you made the two smaller halos on the e-ring out of rose gold – or perhaps just the bezels in rose gold – to bring some continuity to the design?  Also, I think part of the reason it looks a little harsh is because the pink is too pink – I think that band you show above has a much softer pink that looks lovely.

Get the straight band. Absolutely agree with pp that the matching and not-matching at once isn’t really working. Contoured bands drive me nuts anyways. The straight one will make for such a unique look. Go for that!

@Koolbeans621: I love the one above!! The straight across one! And his band is awesome!

Im not a huge fan of the original one you posted just because its too contoured! 2 complete rings looks much better!

I second what someone else said about having a yellow gold contoured ring made for the other side of your e-ring. That would pull in all three colors of gold that are in your FH’s ring.
