Hi bees, little backstory here. My e-ring recently broke unfortunately, but rather than get it fixed I decided I wanted a new one and to go in a completely different direction. I’ve been communicating with an Etsy seller for my dream ring! She’s also going to incorporate stones from my broken one into the new one. I’m so excited, and I would like to see some custom engagement rings! Or any rings for that matter (:
How long did the process take? Were you involved at all, or did your SO do it all by themselves? Show me those custom e-rings!

I just got my custom ring today! From the time we ordered it to the time it was completed was exactly 4 weeks. It is a Champagne ACC moissanite from Joseph Schubach Jewelers in AZ. It is my new favorite thing!

That’s gorgeous! An eye catcher indeed!

I just got my custom wedding set about two weeks ago. Mine was made extremely fast, also by an Etsy shop. They nailed the CAD the very first time, sent them my center stone, and the rings were on my finger the very same week! Communication was great, quality is amazing, and the price was outstanding! So I’m a very happy lady ☺️

I love it! The jeweler is going to use the stones from my broken ring around the band of the new one, similar to yours! I can’t wait to see how it looks!

thank you! I can’t wait to see yours! Have you gotten back any CAD’s from the jeweler?

I think mine took a couple of months from conception to reality. I know it broke during the process and had to be recast. We found a ring online I liked and modified to suit our tastes a bit – getting rid of some oblong sidestones in favor of boring normal ones, things like that. Basically I found the original, we talked about changes and my husband took over from there to the end – decisions like size, quality, etc were all up to him. We found the place on another handmade website rather than Etsy, but I don’t remember the name now. The maker was EarthArt Gem and Jewelry in CA.
He made our wedding bands, too.

I haven’t received CADs yet, I’m waiting for her to give me the option to pay the first installment and/or send my ring and loose stone then she’ll start on the CADs!
Wow, its beautiful! I love that there’s certain elements that are similar, but it’s a ring totally unique to you and your tastes!

We’re in the final stages of making mine! The whole thing, from the CAD model to the physical ring probably takes around 4-6 weeks to complete, but I started the process for mine at the end of December and made quite a few changes. Just got the mold today! I was involved the entire way so that was very exciting for me .
The stone is a 7mm FB OEC.
My jeweler’s CAD software doesn’t seem to be as realistic as others I’ve seen, here’s the CAD compared to the wax model:

Mine took about 2 months I think (bit forgot), but that because it is hard to find the center stone that we love. Anyway, the CAD is taking 2 weeks (for 2 design, the first one is a failure), and another 2 weeks for casting. Oh and I design it myself since it’s an RHR and my DH is very grateful for that LOL!!

- Wedding: January 2014 - Monte Carlo inn
i just got mine back on Monday 🙂 it took a total of 5-6 weeks from start to finish. It’s actually my ring and my parents ring combined together ( basically the same gold and diamonds) so I guess it’s an upgrade. I chose the design myself because hubby isn’t really a jewellery person lol.
Before ( top is parents ring , bottom is my 0.60ct solitaire engagement ring)

I did everything for my custom anniversary ring. I spent 2 months working through the design with Elle at The Gemstone Project. Once I approved the CADs, it was 2 weeks until it was on my finger. I love it.

My Fiance did it alone with Mociun and I believe it took about two and a half months of back and forth emails. It took a month alone to find the stone! He never got a CAD, they have you come in person to see the stones next to each other. You kinda have to visualize it the whole way through I guess. I’m not sure but he did great! Haha

The whole process took 3 weeks for us for my reset. I didn’t get CADs, just the wax model without stones. It was really hard to visualize aNF I made a few changes but it came out as planned. I am very happy with it.

I have a custom ring on its way to me right now! I also had stones from an original setting incorporated into a new one. I am also going through an etsy seller, and the entire process has taken about 6 weeks. I was hoping to have my ring tomorrow, but tracking shows it isn’t supposed to arrive until next Wednesday.
You can see pics of the entire process here:
