Thanks again, you guys! 🙂 I still love it as much as the day I got it!
Now I’m thinking about a new wedding band… hmmm..
Fiance would kill me! I already have one! LOL

I was wondering how you got the custom “gabbie” halo? It is so beautiful and exactly what I’m trying to look for. Also, congratulations on the proposal and your ring is GORGEOUS!!

I emailed Jewels By Erica Grace and discussed price, ring size, metal type, melee size, center stone size etc..
They discontinued doing their custom settings, but if you visit their site they could probably point you in the right direction 🙂
And thank you so much! I’m glad you really love it, and I hope you get the perfect ring for you!

Congratulations!!! Omg I have a new dream ring! I thought I already owned my dream ring but apparently not. My fiance is going to kill me, haha.
But seriously, beautiful ring! And congrats to you two!

Thank you so much! There are SOOOO many dream rings in the world, I could never pick just one favorite either 🙂
My Fiance gets a little grouchy whenever I talk about my dream ring list 😛

love it!!! do you notice any color with the amora/can people tell it isn’t a diamond???

I’ve looked at this thread so much! I loveeeee that ring!

It looks like a J color diamond, since it was graded a J. That means it looks slightly ivory in certain lights, such as outside on a rainy day, and quite white inside in basically all lighting conditions. I think it definitely looks like an Old European Cut Diamond, since mine has fooled many jewelers, and the same has been true for others with the OEC cut moissanite. I have gotten the “Is It Real!?” question a couple times, but I think that’s mostly because of its large size and my age (nearly 21). I think people are mostly baffled at how I could possibly have been given something so nice, and large, at my age considering that it is the largest engagement ring I’ve seen in real life in the midwest.
Thank you!!! 🙂

Your ring is such a dream!!! Where did you get your setting made???

How pretty! What a sparkler! Congrats on your engagment! I do have a question for you though…the stone dosent have the exact same properties as a diamond, but it looks somewhat similar. Is moissanite a synthetic stone or another type of gemstone? Im not familar with it, but i definitley admire it! 🙂

Hi Zelda, I had my setting made at Jewels By Erica Grace. They are based on the other side of the country from me, so I did all my work with them online. It worked our perfectly and I certainly recommend them! In fact, somebody on the boards is currently having my ring re-created! 🙂 Thanks for admiring!
Hey Finallyafter, Moissanite is a man-made stone, but only because natural sources of the stone are so scarce on earth. Henry Moissan discovered Moissanite in a canyon in Arizona and figured out that it was carried to earth by a meteor! There is a dense amount of natural Moissanite in the inner crust of the earth, but obviously we can’t get to it. Moissanite has been discovered to be older than diamond actually 🙂 Diamond, like Moissanite, can be created in a lab as well even though it is found naturally on earth. I think Moissanite is a total wonder stone, and I suggest you do some research on it to see if it is for you! It has double the fire of diamond, and is only very minutely less hard than diamond.
Thanks so much! 🙂
