Check out Etsy.com. You can find custom invites at a range of prices. Whether or not it’s worth is depends on how important invitations are to you and your Fiance. If they’re not that important, then save your money for something you value more. If they are, go for it! It’s your wedding–you have to make it special to YOU! Let us know what you decide.

Also check out paper-source or http://www.myjeanm.com.  Its up to you where you want to allocate most of your funds.  If you are on a budget, you may want to put the money towards the music since it sets the tone of the whole evening.  The invites and save the dates set the mood for guests and gets them amped up to whats to come.  However, you can do some cheap design yourself by using picture manager or a program like then taking it to a print shop and having them print it for you.

We are doing custom wedding invites and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my designer.  I found her on Etsy and she is SOOO affordable ($30 for a custom invitation set design).  My fiance and I wanted the Houston skyline on the bottom of our invites and we sent her a photo we found online and she made it into an awesome graphic.  Her name is Sarah and she has been so great to work with.  She only does designs which is great b/c then you can take it to any flat/thermography/letterpress printer you want and you can save tons of money there!  She also knows her stuff and has asked tons of questons about our printing company so they’ll come out really great!

She also does custom monograms and all other wedding designs (programs, menu cards, etc.)
