I am a prospective gown buyer with VERY unique tastes. I still haven’t decided on any one thing, but Idealy I want my gown to be drop waist/mermaid and I want it to be Blue or grey (or perhaps a tasteful combo of both). My problem is, NO ONE sells a gown like I envision. I’ve been looking into having a gown custom designed. Sounds hugely expensive, I know, but I’ve been looking into it and there seems to be places like Custom Couture bridal and indipendant seamstress’s who do it affordably.
So, has anyone out there had a custom gown made? If so, how did they do it? I want this gown to be very high quality. Has anyone heard of Custom Couture Bridal? It has good reviews. Looks really neat.

you can have a look at those custom made dress website. as their price is affordable. if you are worry about the fabric, you can order a fabric and color swatch first before you place your order. you can have a look at 7foxmall.com as i have friends that have ordered from there and is recommending to those who want to order custom made online. they are very happy about the dress that they ordered. As long as it is not too complicated, it should be alright.

I am possibly looking to getting a gown custom designed. I live in Toronto and I found a dress designer named Jeffrey MacKinnon. He is an inhouse designer (obviously not the main one) for Ines Di Santo.
I got a quote for a full lace and satin dress (mermaid) and he quoted me around $2000 using the best materials…I am sure it could be brought down if I choose slightly cheaper materials.
These are some of his designs that he sent me and that I seen on his facebook.
