That setting is a replica of a Verragio. I’m sure you could find a stock Verragio and have them set a moissanite in it. I did get my ring custom made from Joseph Schubach – I highly recommend them if you decide to not go with a Verragio stock setting. I’ve heard David Klass is also good for custom work, but he has a pretty long waitlist and can be kind of slow with communication (from what I’ve read around here). That ring you love is beautiful, btw!

Welcome to the Bee! Beautiful ring!

It really depends on your budget, and TBH, how picky you are about super refined details. If you want to save quite a bit, I’d try one of the Chinese companies (maybe StarsGem?) Tianyu could do it too, and their round H&A stones are the best of the Chinese companies IMO, but their proportions have been out of whack on some of their most recent projects. A Bee has a similar ring made (devonrenee I believe) but I can’t remember if it was from Tianyu or SG. Check out the other three threads. The really long eBay one, and there’s one for Tianyu projects and another for StarsGem.

If you’re really picky about the milgrain being perfect and engraving and all that, I’d suggest sourcing the stone from Tianyu or a North American company, and have someone like David Klass make the setting. Again, it all boils down to budget and preferences/priorities. If you choose a North American company for the center stone, Amora Gem, August Vintage and Moissanite Co’s New AGS 000 are all good options.

Hope this helps!

I highly recommend Lily Arkwright who made my custom moissanite ring.

Check out local jewelers as well. I live in a small city, but was easily able to find three highly rated jewelers who would do custom rings for reasonable prices. I went with one of them, and didn’t regret it.

mrstodd2bee :  A fellow Bee I routinely chat with actually purchased it and she was beyond happy with the craftsmanship. She posted a very detailed review on Amazon about it.

redearthlady :  Awwww, you guys are too sweet! It really is just because a fellow Bee bought it and had told me about it. I did absolutely zero legwork. Lol. She did say the center stone wasn’t all that great, but for that price it could easily be swapped out with an inexpensive H&A from Tianyu or SG.
